Solution :

1. If your excel data date financial year 2017 & Tally books financial year 2018

Excel4Tally Support dd/mm/yyyy date format, Ex date : 27/01/2018

2. Please make sure your financial year date correct in excel sheet or Tally books financial year date & Import Xml data in Tally, It will work.
